The Chevy Aveo was introduced in 2004 as a subcompact car. The 2004-2005 Aveo used a 1.6L engine that it shared with the Suzuki Swift and Suzuki Wave.
2004 year model engines had valve problems, so we only sell Aveo engines for this generation from 2005 engines, unless the customer requests otherwise. Either way, we warranty these Aveo engines for a year. Second generation Aveo engines ran from 2006-2008, again with a 1.6L engine, and third generation engines began in 2009 again with a 1.6L engine – you guessed it!

Customers contacting us for these engines (call 901-266-9996) typically have several questions. One of the most common is “How much should it cost to replace this engine?” Prices on the engine itself can vary greatly from day to day based on availability – you should always call for a current quote. As to what your mechanic will charge you, plan on 12-15 hours of labor for this job. Our standard warranty is parts only, but we do offer a labor warranty that you can purchase at an additional price. Be sure to ask your salesperson for details!
